      On the 16 Jun at Kangaroo Point road, Mrs E Gore-Jones of a son.

      John attended Brisbane Grammar and in 1891 passed the Junior Examination held in connection with the University of Sydney.

      In Dec, 1901 there is a Mrs J Gore Jones from Fiji staying with the Toowong Gore Jones family.

      In 1903-1913, John is a cane inspector at Childers Mill with his wife Ethel. At some point the family moves to Buderim Mt where it is being advertised to let in 1919.

      GORE-JONES v GORE-JONES.
      Ethel Maud Gore-Jones (formerly Pile) petitioned for a divorce from John Hector Gore Jones, on the grounds of desertion. The parties were married in 1898, at Fiji, according to the rites of the Wesleyan Church. Mr. Hinton (instructed by Messrs. Windeyer, Fawl, and Osborne, agents for Messrs. Pile and Westgarth, of Blayney) appeared for the petitioner. A decree nisi was granted, returnable in six months.

      Decree absolute granted in 1924 in the SMH Wed 2 July 1924.
