    • There is some confusion about the marriage of James and Annie as no record exists - either in government records or Catholic Archives. The early birth certificates have the date of marriage as either the 25 November 1867 (Mary Ann Phillips' birth certificate) or the 29th November (birth certificates for the rest of the children, except Margaret where the date is given as the 29 December, 1867). The 29 November 1867 is given as the marriage date.
