      Ruddle - Thomasson
On Wednesday last (May 18) a very pretty wedding was celebrated at the Baptist Tabernacle, Denison-street, Rockhampton (writes our correspondent) between Miss Ellen Marion Thomasson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Thomasson, Rockhampton, and Mr. William George Ruddle, youngest son of Mr. George Ruddle, of Bundaberg. The Rev. A. D. Shaw was the officiating clergyman. The bride was given away by her brother. She was tastefully dressed in cream merve made en princesse, with trimmings of tucked chiffon and pearls. She also wore a coronet of orange blossoms and a tulle veil. Three bridesmaids were in attendance. They were Miss A.Thomasson (sister of the bride), Miss Ellen Ruddle (cousin of the bride), and Miss Eileen Thomasson (the bride's niece). Mr. F. Jeffries acted as best man. Over 50 guests (including the bride's grand parents) were present at the wedding breakfast, which was served at the residence of the bride's parents, Bolsover-street. Mr. and Mrs. Ruddle, who intend to reside in future at Bundaberg left by the southern mail train at noon, to spend their honeymoon at Brisbane and the Tweed Heads.
