      MRS M. C. CONNOR
The death in Rockhampton on Friday of Mrs Matilda Catherine Connor at the age of 72 removes a figure widely known and esteemed in various parts of Central Queensland (says the "Mackay Mercury" of Saturday last). The late Mrs Connor was the widow of John Joseph Connor, who passed away 12 years ago. When her husband sold out his interest in Emery & Connor, the well-known Rockhampton tailoring establishment she came with him to Mackay. On the death of Mr Connor the widow returned to live at her home in Dawson Street, Rockhampton, but frequently returned to Mackay on family visits. She is survived by two sons and two daughters, Mr Jack Connor (Connor & Berg, Mackay), Mr Harold Connor (Mackay), Mrs James O'Neill (Pleystowe), and Mrs Kevin Conaghan (Rockhampton).
