    • Enlisted in WW1 on the 28 February, 1916. Mentioned in Sir Douglas Haig's despatches of 16/3/1919. In 1918 when he was wounded, his father was at Invicta Plantation.
      On the 1913 electoral roll, Charles is an engine driver at Bonna Plantation where his father is the manager. In 1925, he is an enginer driver at Inkerman Mill (Carstairs) Home Hill. On the 1925 roll for the Darling Downs, Charles is listed at Kalbinta, Wyreema as a farmer, his sister Helen Annie is a music teacher at Wyreema, and Julia and Mabel have home duties. There is no mention of James Peter here but one is listed in Brisbane and at Invicta.
      On the 1936 roll, he is at the Union Hotel in Miles as an engineer and also listed is a Kathleen Florence Thygesen, home duties.
